When gone through the process of concrete repolishing a concrete floor can be classified into different levels and classes. In this regards, experts say that the floor can be classified in ranges between 1 through 4. Similarly, aggregate exposures can be classified as A, B, C or D, but this classification would depend entirely upon the degree of exposure. Gloss levels Level 1 • The term, "Level 1" is used to define flat ground polish and it can be obtained easily by using 100-grit resin bond or below. • With this, any concrete floor will appear a bit hazy with little or no clarity or reflection. Level 2 • This level includes satin polish and experts say that it can be achieved easily by stopping at the 400-grit resin bond. • The benefit of this bond is that it will produce a low-sheen finish, which creates a low-luster matte finish. Level 3 • According to the experts of concrete repolishing, this level is also known as semi-polished flooring. • This level can be achieved easily by going up to an 800-grit or higher diamond abrasive. • Because of the materials used in concrete repolishing, the floor surface will have a much higher sheen than that of level 2 finish. Level 4 • Level 4 is the highest level and defines a highly polished floor that has the best shine because it is almost next to new. • As a result, when you standing directly over the surface, you can see your reflection with total clarity. • Other than that, the floor appears to be wet when viewed from different vantage points. • This kind of shine can be achieved easily by using a 3,000-grit resin-bond diamond or a high-speed burnisher outfitted with specialty buffing pads.
